Crabapple Sound was established in 1996 offering old time radio shows on audio cassette and now these OTR shows are available on compact disc. The Old Time Radio On Cassette & CD catalog is based on a library collection that began in 1975. There are over 25,000 shows in the library and the catalog reflects only a small portion of the collection.
Each show is previewed before listed in the catalog to make sure they are in good sound. If there are any special shows that you are seeking to purchase not yet listed in the catalog, a search may be conducted in the library to see if these shows could be made available.
The CDs have not been digitally remastered. Sound quality will be the same as a cassette tape. Some of the OTR shows (90 minutes) are not available on CD and have been noted in the catalog listings.

Comedy-Variety Shows features Abbott and Costello, Amos and Andy, Bickersons, Bob Hope, Burns and Allen, Duffy's Tavern, Eddie Cantor, Fibber McGee and Molly, Jack Benny, Jimmy Durante, Life Of Riley, Life With Luigi, My Friend Irma, and many other enjoyable programs.
Mystery-Drama Shows features Cavalcade Of America, Escape, Falcon, Gunsmoke, Hall of Fantasy, Lux Radio Theater, Mercury Theater, Sam Spade, Sealed Book, Sherlock Holmes, Six Shooter, Suspense, The Whistler, X-Minus One, and many other exciting programs.
Musical Programs features Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Buddy Clark, Dick Haymes, Dinah Shore, Eddie Condon, Frank Sinatra, Ginny Simms, Hank Williams, Supper Club with Jo Stafford and Perry Como, Woody Herman, and many other well known personalities.
Big Band Broadcasts features the orchestras of Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Bob Crosby, Cab Calloway, Charlie Barnet, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Les Brown, Ozzie Nelson, Paul Whiteman, Russ Morgan, Xavier Cugat, and many other great big band leaders.
Special Offer Bookshelf Albums/CD Sets consists of six (6) tapes or six (6) compact discs featuring Michael Redgrave as Captain Horatio Hornblower, Lives of Harry Lime, Damon Runyon Theater, Scarlet Pimpernel, Rocky Fortune, Jack Benny, Amos and Andy, Bing Crosby, Johnny Mercer Music Shop, Songs by Sinatra, Glenn Miller AAF Orchestra and other great shows from the days of old time radio.
